eLMS Blackboard Building Block
3 User Interfaces

The eLMS Building Block user interfaces are designed to be intuitive and consistent with other Blackboard interfaces, hence students and instructors need little additional knowledge to use them. The interfaces hide most of the details of the required eLMS operations.

Administrator interface

This is incorporated into the standard Blackboard building block configuration interface, and it is straightforward to use.

Student interface

This interface consists of assignment links, which optionally provide some instructor-defined supplemental information about the courseware. When clicking on an assignment link, the eLMS courseware loads into the Blackboard display area.

Instructor interface

There are 6 operations the instructor can perform:

1. Enable/Disable eLMS for a Course
2. Synchronize eLMS (roster, and assignments)
3. Launch the delivery record interface
4. Record grades for an eLMS assignment
5. Assign/remove eLMS assignment
6. Modify existing eLMS courseware assignment

The first four operations can be carried out from the same page, accessed through the Control Panel, while the remaining (5, 6) are accessible as standard Blackboard operations through the Edit View of Blackboard content folders.
